| When Gery and I retired to beautiful San Diego Co, we brought our old, retired ACD Champions with us to live happily ever after. But in Dec. of 2002, Marshall (at 10 yrs.) and Dandylion (at 11 yrs.) got bored and decided to come out of retirement. The result was a delightful litter of three bitch puppies! With a bonus like this, how could we remain "retired"? When Gery decided to keep Jazz, she was to be his personal companion, but as she grew lovlier with each day, we realized she had to be a champion like her long lineage. On Nov. 9, 2003, at 9 months old, at her 2nd show, Jazz took Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners for a 3 point major. That was just the beginning. |
| The next 10 shows resulted in 10 points and another major. Since the 2004 ACDCA National Specialty Show was held in our area, we thought it would be fun to at least enter and have a good time. The Herding Instinct Test went well, with Jazz performing better than any ACD we've ever had. Then, to our delight, Dr. Battaglia deemed Jazz the best class bitch, awarding her Winner's Bitch from the prestiduous Bred By Exhibitor Class, out of 44 class bitches! for a 5 point major to finish her Championship. All this on Linda's birthday! For a little icing, Dr. Battaglia also bestowed upon her the coveted Award Of Merit! What a Retirement! |
